About the Author

Lois Brandt served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon, West Africa, and taught in American public schools. Maddi's Fridge—her debut picture book—was inspired by a childhood experience when she opened her best friend's refrigerator and found only a single small carton of milk. Lois lives near Seattle, Washington, where she writes and teaches writers of all ages. Visit her at loisbrandt.com.

About the Illustrator

Vin Vogel is an author, illustrator, and character designer originally from Brazil, currently living in New York City. He has illustrated over 50 children's books and provided designs for print, animation, apparel, and web projects worldwide.
