Walk. Talk. Look.
Let’s read a book!
There are two main types of displays used in Storywalks:
Do It Yourself (DIY) displays, or
Permanent Storywalk displays
DIY Displays
There are many options for inexpensive displays. Here are just a few of our favorites:
Tape it
Find a window or a wall and just tape the pages where children can read them.
Use Yard-signs
Pick up some yard signs at your local hardware store and use them to display your walk.
Hang it
Find a fence, a wire, or an art display board and hang it. See “Helpful Links” for more info on where to find clips.

Permanent SBW Displays
A permanent display is a wonderful way to showcase your storybook walk. Here is an example from Pannier Graphics. Their durable aluminum frames make swapping out your stories simple and efficient. Just remove the top rail and clear acrylic panel, insert your laminated pages, and reassemble—it’s that easy! This straightforward design saves you valuable time, so you can focus on creating meaningful content for your storybook walk.
Pannier Graphics
Pannier specializes in StoryWalk frames, offering them at affordable prices. You can buy 20 StoryWalk frames for under $6,000. That is enough frames to display most stories, which range between 16-20 frames. Additionally, some states offer grants to help fund your storybook walk, or you can raise funds within your community.
They also provides both standard and custom backer panels that can be added to the back of your frames. These panels are a great way to share information about your library or acknowledge the sponsors who helped bring your walk to life.
