When it comes to Storybook Walk, there are two main types of displays to choose from:

  • Do It Yourself (DIY) displays, or

  • Permanent Storybook Walk displays

Tape it

Find a window or a wall and just tape the pages where children can read them.

Use Yardsigns

Pick up some yard signs at your local hardware store and use them to display your walk.

Hang it

Find a fence, a wire, or an art display board and hang it. See “Helpful Links” for more info on where to find clips.

DIY Displays

You don’t have to have a lot of money in order to put on your own storybook walk. There are a lot of inexpensive options as well as DIY. Or, you can invest in display stands that will last for years to come. It’s up to you. Here are a few ideas …

DIY Display Hacks

Who says you need a lot of money to hang up a Storybook Walk? Check out these helpful hacks and learn how to hang up a walk in under 5 minutes!

Pannier Graphics

Pannier specializes in Storywalk Walk frames and offers them at reasonable prices. You can buy 20 Storybook Walk frames for under $6,000. That is enough frames to fit most Storybook Walks, which are between 12-16 frames.

In addition, they also make personalized backer pages to put in the back of your frames where you can add information about your library or those that help sponsor your walk.

Permanent SBW Displays

If you can swing it, a permanent display is a wonderful way to showcase your storybook walk. These Storybook Walk frames usually are composed of a metal frame in which two pieces of acrylic are inserted. A laminated Storybook Walk is then placed between the two sheets. If wanted, a backer panel can also be bought and placed as a background in the Storybook Walk.
