Turn your book into an interactive reading experience!
Are you an author with a story that could shine in a new format—one that gets children reading, moving, and engaging with your book in public spaces?
At StorybookWalk.com, we specialize in adapting outstanding children's books into Ready-to-Use Laminated Editions for permanent literacy displays. These large-format, durable sets (available in 11x17 and 18x24 sizes) are used in schools, libraries, parks, museums, and educational spaces to encourage family literacy, physical activity, and community engagement.
We’re proud to have worked with a growing list of talented authors and illustrators including Izzy B, Jay Miletsky, and Jimmy Vee whose stories have come to life in hallways, playgrounds, classrooms, and beyond.
What We’re Looking For
Not all books are a match for this unique format. Here’s what we seek in submissions:
Professionally published children’s picture books (self-published is okay if the quality is high) - However, we typically accept books that have demonstrated strong sales or authors with an existing track record of success in children's publishing
12–18 spreads (32–40 interior pages)
Engaging content suitable for a wide and inclusive audience (not too niche or gender-exclusive)
Bilingual editions are especially welcome
Fiction and non-fiction are both considered
Books that lend themselves well to seasonal themes (e.g. fall, Earth Day, Autism Awareness Month) are also acceptable
High-quality illustrations that will scale well in large formats (We do not accept illustrations made primarily from clip art or A.I. images)
Must have an ISBN and the paperback or hardback version must be available online for sale on retail platforms like Amazon or Barnes and Noble
You must either be the copyright owner or have permission from all copyright holders
We value books that promote empathy, diversity, and curiosity—stories that invite children to move from page to page and engage with the world around them.
What to expect
We are highly selective and cannot accept every submission. If your book is chosen, we will reach out to you directly with:
Details about the adaptation process
A publishing agreement which includes setup costs and terms.
Information about our catalog and royalty program
Marketing and promotional opportunities
Selected titles are featured in our shop and distributed to educators, librarians, and community literacy leaders around the country.
