What to Do With a Stick: Storybook Walk Edition

from $174.00

Grab a Stick!

A boy and his dog find a stick in the grass, and it turns out to be the most remarkable toy of all. In one moment it’s a sword to chase away the monster in the closet. In the next it’s a fishing pole. Each page turns the same simple stick into something new.

Jane Yolen’s bouncy, rhyming verse begs to be read aloud, and Paolo Domeniconi’s richly detailed, playful illustrations fill every spread with adventure. This Storybook Walk Edition turns the story into a hands-on adventure. Before the walk begins, each child finds a stick on the ground, and every spread features an activity prompt that puts that stick to work. Walkers row a boat, cast a fishing line, balance like a seal, cast a spell, and form a band with their trail buddies. At the end of the walk, children leave their sticks behind for the next walker.

Contains 18 spreads (fits in 18 frames). This includes an instruction page. 15 Page Option: As every page is a new idea with a stick, if you only have 15 frames you can pick which pages from the 18 you would like to use.

Sizes: 11 × 17 and 18 × 24 inch

Material: Laminated or printed on Coroplast (Metal H-frame stakes sold separately).

Original Title: What to Do With a Stick - ISBN 978-1568463650
