In the News: Storybook Walk® Goes from Kansas to Hawaii

We have had an incredible run of press coverage lately, and I wanted to take a moment to share some of the highlights! It has been amazing to see StorybookWalk.com recognized locally and regionally as we continue to grow.

Wichita Eagle: "Wichita product is a hit"

Just a few weeks ago, Carrie Rengers at the Wichita Eagle wrote a fantastic piece titled "From a snowy scene in Canada to a warm beach in Hawaii, Wichita product is a hit."

She highlighted how our interactive displays are popping up everywhere—from snowy trails in Newfoundland to sunny beaches in Hawaii! We already have Storybook Walk Editions in over 30 states in the US and Canada!

The article also touched on our holiday favorite, If Mice Pulled The Sleigh by Bill Barnsley, and how we are planning in 2026 to use QR codes to connect families to our new podcast, The Storybook Detour.

You can catch the full story in the Business section of the Wichita Eagle online here: Read the article.

Harvey County Now: "Bethel grad, brother start Storywalk company"

Back in August, we were also featured in Harvey County Now. Wendy Nugent sat down with us to talk about the roots of the company, highlighting my time at Bethel College and how my brother Mark Janzen and I teamed up to launch this venture in 2024.

The story dives into the "why" behind what we do, especially helping kids who might find traditional reading challenging. Wendy did a great job capturing the spirit of our mission with a photo of me and the book Run, Oscar, Run! at the Kauffman Museum.

It’s Official: We are Trademarked!

To top off an exciting start to the year, we also celebrated a huge internal milestone: We just received our official Federal Trademark registration!

Securing the registered trademark for Storybook Walk® was a long process, but it’s an important step in protecting the work we do. It ensures that when schools and parks partner with us, they know they are getting the original, high-quality experience that we have worked so hard to build.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far! It is exciting to see our mission of making reading active and fun making headlines.
